A woman prays in her compound during the looting and burning of her community. They were trapped there after the anti Balaka and the Christian community surrounded her home and threatened to kill the 31 people left inside. There was a 6 hour stand off where Rwandan troops protected the family. After journalists pleaded with the Congolese peacekeepers passing by with an empty truck to take them and the peacekeepers refused and drove off, Peter Bouckaert convinced the French troops to intervene with transport and they moved them 1 km to safety. The compound was then looted and burned. Anti Balaka told the journalists that if they were not taken out they would all be killed.
